"So bright... so beautiful... ah, Precious."
So...dinner at our house lately has been something out of a movie...compete with our own Gollum with eyes only for his "precious," of course being my dinner plate/bowl/placemat/whatever else he thinks might possibly have food on it. After eating his requisite several ounces of baby food (peas and carrots, by the way, are his absolute favorites at the moment, but he's good with squash as well - sweet potatoes are iffy and change by the day), he is crying to be out of his highchair, sitting in my lap. And after that, it's a constant challenge to eat my dinner while holding him back from lunging at the table, grabbing everything in sight and shoving it in his mouth. :-) Tonight, we had baked potato soup (huge shout out to my friend Ashley for the awesome recipe by the way!) and he locked eyes on my bowl and would stop at nothing to get the bowl in his mouth. Seriously. He didn't care that there was hardly any soup left in it - he just wanted the bowl. The look of victory on his face was unmistakable. Have we mentioned how much this kid LOVES to eat???

ReplyDeleteHe's a keeper! Love the pics. Hope his sats are doing better.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciated your last two posts as well. There are nights I lie awake praying for the unborn. They have no voice, it's so overwhelming to me to think about such a tragedy. Take care! Erin
