Yesterday was a BIG day for both Sierra and Bodie - thanks to an awesome nurse we had over the weekend, Chrystal, we were able to take Bodie downstairs for a bit to meet Sierra!!! It was such a neat meeting - Sierra was totally in awe of him, and was cautious around him - she was so excited when we told him she could touch him. She wanted to touch his head and his hand, and see his "boo-boo" (that's where we drew the line, since he was swaddled pretty tightly!). It really warmed my heart to see the two of them together. Here are some pics of the sweet moment:
In related news, Dusk, Sierra and I stayed at the Ronald McDonald House near the hospital this weekend and it meant I got to spend more time with Sierra and Dusk got to spend more time with Bodie! While it was wonderful to get to spend more time with Sierra, she has clearly hit her limits with the changes in her little world - and has started acting out a LOT. Dusk and I debated heavily who ended up with the greater challenge - me, with the tantrumming 3-year old - or him with the newborn strung-out on morphine. :-)
WONDERFUL!!! Such sweet photos of a momentous occasion! Hurray for Ronald McDonald houses too! Sounds like you've been blessed with some really great nurses along the way! I will say prayers for Sierra too. I guess we've all been focusing on little Bodie and she needs prayer covering as well. This has got to be really really tough on her too!ReplyDelete
Those are precious photos! You can tell Sierra loves Bodie so much. So sweet. We'll pray for you guys with Sierra adjusting(it happens to most 1st kidos and does mellow with time). Hugs & Love, Bonnie & the KerrsReplyDelete
That is wonderful! I love the pics and have tears of joy! God is so good. So good to see such improvement on Bodie's part. What a trooper!ReplyDelete
Ronald Mcdonald houses are great. Ever since we stayed in them in 2007 we've donated to the cause. It's a wonderful home away from home with such nice people who really care.
I have been thinking of Sierra a lot the past couple of days. What a moment. They are amazing, and bring tears to my eyes. Bodie looks GREAT! I will continue to pray every day. He will be home soon! And we'll get to see many more Bodie/Sierra moments. :)ReplyDelete
Thank you for sharing such a special moment. Love the pictures! So excited another request answered...Sierra got to meet her brother! We'll keep you as a family in our prayers. Love, ErinReplyDelete
Awwwwwwww, that just melts my heart. What gorgeous pictures. She's going to make a great big sister, and even better once things settle down a bit.ReplyDelete
And now I don't feel bad about eating so much mcdonalds lately - Yay for ronald mcdonald house!
How sweet. They are both beautiful!!ReplyDelete
This is a tough age for toddlers and extra hard with all the changes going on in your lives. I am finding that staying consistant and extra loves go a long way. Hugs!
What a wonderful day!!! The pics are so adorable. I can totally relate to the crazy tantrum toddler. Shay has reached his limit with this "homeless" living lol...I will be praying everything continues to go well and you can soon find some consistency in your home. :)ReplyDelete
